6) Humans vs. Porcupines
The natural human being has cut down many forests that porcupines live in. Not only cutting down but, burning down at the same time. It is very sad. And with humans up so late these days, it makes it harder on the porcupines to hunt for food.
4) Adaptation
The one main thing that keeps the porcupine alive are their quills. Their weakest spot is their stomach. Since the stomach in not protected with quills. When hunters go hunting for porcupines, they try to get them on their backs. Even tho it might seem easy to just shoot them in the back with the quills. But no. their quills are layered so it gives them like a suit of armor. How their quills are made so their are little layers of fish hook like things. When stuck in skin it is very difficult to get out.
Sadly, dogs get harmed by porcupine quills very often.
3) Description on where they live
Porcupines are pretty diverse on where they live. They live in the mountains, in the desert, and basically every where. They do seem to prefer mountainous places. Porcupines are nocturnal. so other words, when you are camping and driving to get fire wood... you could see a family of porcupine butts.
